Annual American Indian Pow Wow at the Queens County Farm Museum, 7/23-25

The 32nd annual Thunderbird American Indian Mid-Summer Pow-Wow will be held at The Queens County Farm Museum, 73-50 Little Neck Parkway, Floral Park, New York on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 23, 24, & 25 2010. Hours are as follows:

Friday: gates open 6:00 p.m. Performance time 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Saturday: gates open 10:00 a.m. Performance times 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Sunday: gates open 10:00 a.m. Performance time 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

(Grand Entry at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday)


Admission is $9.00 for adults (all weekend pass $15.00) and $4.00 for children 12 and under( all weekend pass $5.00). Free Parking.

The Farm Museum will host New York City's largest and longest running American Indian Pow-Wow that will feature 3 days of intertribal Native American Dance Competitions. Over 40 Indian nations will be represented. Chanting, Drumming and Brilliantly colored, finely detailed regalia will provide stimulating entertainment for people of all ages. All dance competitions and performances will be narrated for your appreciation of the rich tradition and culture that is being shared.

American Indian art and craft vendors will offer a unique array of items for shoppers!

Several artists, jewelry designers and crafts people will sell one-of-a-kind items;

There will also be vendors selling moderately priced American Indian theme merchandise.

American Indian food booths will feature such items as Fry Bread and Navajo Tacos!

Non-Indian food vendors will also be on site.

Visitors to the Pow-Wow will be able to enjoy the beautiful grounds of The Farm Museum, take hayrides for $2.00 per person, tour the historic Adriance Farmhouse, and
