Ann Magnuson, former singer/lyricist of cult indie rock band Bongwater and acclaimed actress (films Panic Room, Clear and Present Danger) will return to Joe's Pub, Friday May 18th, for two performances.

There will be an early show at 9:30PM and a late show at 11:30PM. Performing songs and spoken word from her new CD, Pretty Songs & Ugly Stories, she will be accompanied by producer/collaborator Kristian Hoffman and the Loser's Lounge Band. The new CD, her first in years, is described in the press notes as "a swirling confection of Baroque Pop and psycho-sexual angst sprinkled with sly wit and hard-won wisdom."

Joe's Pub is on 425 Lafayette Street, between East 4th and Astor Place in the East Village. Tickets are available at The Public Theater box office, by calling 212-967-7555 by visiting www.joespub.com. For more information on Ann Magnuson, visit www.annmagnuson.com
