Rolex presents JUMP FOR JOY! A Dance Variety Spectacular - Career Transition For Dancers' 27th Anniversary Jubilee on Monday, November 5, at 7:00 pm at New York City Center, 131 West 55 Street (btwn. 6th and 7th Ave) NYC. Legendary star Angela Lansbury will host. It will be followed by a Supper in The Grand Ballroom at The Hilton New York. America loves variety, and JUMP FOR JOY! provides a fun-filled evening that weaves together all genres and dance styles in an exciting tapestry of quality entertainment. The show is produced and directed by Ann Marie DeAngelo.

The Career Transition For Dancers Outstanding Contributions to the World of Dance Awards will be awarded to: Joni Berry, Michele Herbert, Gerald M. Appelstein and Arthur Murray International (celebrating its 100th Anniversary). The 27th Anniversary Chairs are Anka K. Palitz, and Susan and Stewart Wicht.

The Rolex Dance Award will be presented to Liza Minnelli, Winner of four Tony Awards, an Oscar, a special "Legends" Grammy, two Golden Globe Awards and an Emmy. Liza is one of the entertainment world's consummate performers. On film, on stage and in television, Liza has won critical acclaim, a multitude of fans, and recognition from her peers in show business, giving new dimension and credibility to the word "superstar."

Angela Lansbury has enjoyed a career without precedent, spanning more than half-a-century, as a star of movies, a 5-time Tony Award-winning actress, and star of "Murder, She Wrote," the longest running detective drama series in television history.

Career Transition For Dancers, with offices in New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago, has helped over 5,400 professional dancers nationwide identify their unique talents in preparation for establishing new careers when dance is no longer an option. Since its founding in 1985, the organization has provided more than 55,000 hours (equivalent to over $6 million) of one-on-one career counseling and program services, at no cost, and has awarded millions of dollars in scholarships for education, entrepreneurial grants, and certification programs. The organization also provides dancers with specialized services that include transition seminars and workshops, peer support groups, resource centers, a toll-free national career counseling hotline, a website, and an online National Career Network. www.careertransition.org

Patron tickets are $600, $750 and $1,200 each. Tables for 10 start at $7,500. Patron tickets and Tables include premium performance seating, post-performance 'Supper with the Stars', dancing and a live auction at The Grand Ballroom at the Hilton New York.
