Andrews & Daughter Sign Great American Mousical Books 1/30

Internationally recognized film and stage star Julie Andrews, and daughter Emma Walton Hamilton, National Ambassadors for this year's Kids' Night on Broadway, will sign a limited number of copies of their newest book, "The Great American Mousical." Starting at 2:30 p.m., tickets will be handed out to the first 150 Kids' Night participants standing in line who are interested in purchasing a book. The first 150 people to purchase a book will get to meet Ms. Andrews and Ms. Hamilton, and have their book signed. Doors open at Madame Tussauds at exactly 3 p.m. with the book signing starting at 4:00 p.m. Books will be available for purchase at the Madame Tussaud's gift store located on the 5th floor.

Kids' Night on Broadway is the annual event during which young people ages 6 to 18 can attend a Broadway show for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult. With the purchase of Kids' Night theatre tickets, families will be offered tons of free or discounted family fun including a Pre-Theater Fan Festival with Broadway performances at Madame Tussauds, held on both January 30 and 31. Limited tickets are still available and can be purchased via Telecharge.com or Ticketmaster (depending on ticket agent), or at the individual theatre boxes.

The Fan Festival will commence at 3:00 p.m. on January 30, and 4:00 p.m. on January 31, and will afford young people the opportunity to experience how live theatre is created through special activities hosted by the cast and crew of participating shows. Activities include special theatrical makeup stations, Broadway dance lessons, karaoke, and many other unique theatre activities. Many Broadway stars will also be on hand to sign autographs in Autograph Alley. Fans also get to tour Madame Tussauds for free!

Area restaurants will offer family-friendly dinner discounts including free entrées for each child accompanied by an adult who purchase a regularly priced entrée. While cast members of participating shows add special fun to the evening with individual post-performance curtain speeches thanking kids for being part of the audience.

At the theatre, all those in attendance will receive a special souvenir Playbill, entirely written by local teenagers who love theatre, provided by Theatre Development Fund. Special parking discounts will also be available.
