Andrew Lloyd Webber has accepted an invitation from Prince's William and Harry to pay tribute to their mother in a celebratory concert being held at the new Wembley Stadium next year.

The 'Concert for Diana' is to be held on July 1st, which would have been Diana's 46th birthday, and will feature some of the Princess and her son's favourite artists.

Andrew has been asked to stage a 15-minute medley of his work. Other artists announced yesterday include Elton John, Duran Duran, Bryan Ferry, Pharrell Williams, The English National Ballet and Joss Stone.

Andrew Lloyd Webber said: "I am delighted and honoured to be part of this celebration of the life of a very remarkable woman".

Proceeds from the concert will go to a number of charities that were supported by the Princess during her life, and to two of the Princes' own charities, Centrepoint and Sentebale. The Princess's charities which will benefit are The Diana Memorial Fund, which was set up in her memory, and five charities of which she was Patron at the time of her death: The Royal Marsden Hospital, The National Aids Trust, Great Ormond Street Hospital, The Leprosy Mission, and The English National Ballet.
