The new concert series curated by the renowned Tony Award-winning composer, lyricist, conductor, and director, Jason Robert Brown, continues this month at SubCulture. Just announced for Brown's concert tonight, September 11, 2015 are stage vets Andréa Burns and Joshua Henry.

Each unique performance incorporates an eclectic mix of material, featuring music from throughout his acclaimed career, along with new works in development.

Jason Robert Brown is the ultimate multi-hyphenate -- an equally skilled composer, lyricist, conductor, arranger, orchestrator, director and performer -- best known for his dazzling scores to several of the most renowned musicals of his generation, including THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY, for which Jason received the 2014 Tony Awards for Best Score and Best Orchestrations, the recently revived THE LAST FIVE YEARS, his debut song cycle SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD, and the seminal PARADE, winner of the 1999 Best Score Tony.

HONEYMOON IN VEGAS, starring Tony Danza and based on Andrew Bergman's film, recently ran on Broadway following a triumphant production last fall at Paper Mill Playhouse. A film version of Jason's epochal Off-Broadway musical THE LAST FIVE YEARS hit theaters earlier this year, starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan and directed by Richard LaGravenese, and a film of Jason's musical 13 is currently in development. Jason conducted PARADE at Avery Fisher Hall in an all-star concert performance last winter, and he is in the midst of recording a followup to his solo CD, WEARING SOMEONE ELSE'S CLOTHES.

Jason studied composition at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y., with Samuel Adler, Christopher Rouse, and Joseph Schwantner. He lives with his wife, composer Georgia Stitt, and their daughters in New York City. Jason is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild and the American Federation of Musicians Local 802 & 47. Andrea Burns began her career touring the opera houses of Europe as Maria in WEST SIDE STORY. Since then she has appeared on Broadway as Daniela in IN THE HEIGHTS, as Belle in Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, and as Vicki Nichols in THE FULL MONTY. She has appeared in concerts at Carnegie Hall and many other symphonic halls across the country. She can also be heard on the original cast recordings of SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD, SATURDAY NIGHT, SHINE, BROADWAY BOUND and THE BROADWAY MUSICALS OF 1953.

Joshua Henry made his stage debut as Judas in GODSPELL at the Paper Mill Playhouse, followed by his Broadway debut in IN THE HEIGHTS. After playing Favorite Son in AMERICAN IDIOT, he gave a Tony-nominated performance in the Broadway premiere of THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS and was tapped to play Jake in the Broadway revival of PORGY AND BESS. He later appeared in Roundabout's VIOLET, starring Sutton Foster. On film, Henry is remembered as Jennifer Hudson's fiancé in SEX AND THE CITY.
