Nancy Anderson, most recently seen in the York Theatre Company's staged reading of Plain and Fancy, will take her "Ten Cents a Dance" cabaret act to the Metropolitan Room (34 W. 22nd St., between 5th and 6th Avenues) on November 14th and 28th at 9:30 PM.
The show will feature the performer with Ross Patterson and his Little Big Band. In the cabaret, "Anderson sings selections from her debut album, 'Ten Cents A Dance,' recreating the vocal stylings of a bygone era in this celebration of jazz standards from the 20s and 30s."
Bill Daugherty will produce "Ten Cents a Dance," which will feature musical direction by Patterson and Danny Whitby.
Anderson's Broadway credits include Wonderful Town and A Class Act, while she has also appeared in London in Kiss Me, Kate. Off-Broadway, she has been seen in Burleigh Grime$, Jolson & Co. There is a $25 music charge and a two-drink minimum for Anderson's show. Call (212) 206-0440 or visit www.metropolitanroom.com for reservations.
