PROOF by David Auburn and directed by Mike Faust opens this Friday March 9 at the Anchorage Community Theatre. Shows are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7 PM and Sunday afternoon at 3.

Robert will be played by Charles Cardwell, Catherine by Lindsay Lamar, Claire by Jennifer Workman, and Hal by Eric Braman.

PROOF is the winner of the 2001 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award for Best Play. On the eve of her twenty-fifth birthday, Catherine, a troubled young woman, has spent years caring for her brilliant but unstable father, a famous mathematician. Now she must deal with her own volatile emotions; the arrival of her estranged sister, Claire; and the attentions of Hal, a former student of her father's who hopes to find valuable work in the 103 notebooks that her father left behind. Over the long weekend that follows, a burgeoning romance and the discovery of a mysterious notebook draw Catherine into the most difficult problem of all: how much of her father's madness—or genius—will she inherit?

Warning: adult language. Tickets are $15 for adults and $13 for seniors/military/students. Buy individual tickets online or call us at 868-4913. We have a "pay what you can" preview night this Thursday March 8 at 7 PM.
