The Brick Theatre will offer its wickedly satiric An Evening with Roberta Combs beginning on Saturday, June 4th at 8:30 to run through Thursday, June 23rd at 9:45 PM. Presented by Publicity Outfitters, Tim Haskell's play is part of The Moral Values Festival.

An Evening with Roberta Combs is just what it sounds like," states a press article. "For 45-minutes the head of the notorious religious right-wing political lobbying group will engage a Brooklyn audience for the month of June as she fields questions from a moderator and the audience while having a spirited debate with a legal advisor from a major Gay and Lesbian Advocacy organization who will also be on the panel." When asked why Combs would consent to the Q&A, Haskell responded, "I guess she's insane. I am not even sure if it's really her. I just hope someone doesn't hit her at the end or ask her really inappropriate questions. God, that would be awful if something like that happened at the end of the evening."

In addition to directing, Haskell conceptualized and organized An Evening with Roberta Combs. He directed I Love Paris, Doug Field's play about a certain socialite, at the Blue Heron Arts Center; at ten months and counting, it is the longest running show in the theatre's history. Haskell's other directing credits include Corporate Rock by Will Bennett at the Blue Heron. He might be best known for creating and directing the recent cult hit Road House, which transferred from Off-Off Broadway to Off-Broadway at the Barrow Street Theatre. Haskell is also the creator of the annual Halloween Adventure Haunted House, and owns Publicity Outfitters, a theatrical press agency.

An Evening with Roberta Combs also features Mark O'Connell, Cathy McNelis and Rachelle Mendez.
