August: Osage County, winner of five 2008 Tony Awards as well as the 2008 Pulitzer Prize, is proud to welcome back Original Cast member and Tony Award nominee Amy Morton to the role of "Barbara Fordham" on Tuesday, May 26th, 2009 @ 7:00pm.

She will be joining previously announced Phylicia Rashad in the role of "Violet Weston", who will also begin performances on that day.

Amy Morton is an actor, director, and Steppenwolf ensemble member since 1997. Her Steppenwolf acting credits include: August: Osage County, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (also on Broadway). Betrayal, Last of the Boys, The Well Appointed Room, Berlin Circle, The Royal Family, Homebody/Kabul, Three Days of Rain, The Unmentionables, Cherry Orchard, The Time of your Life, and many others. Directing credits include: Our Country's Good, The Weir, Glengarry Glen Ross, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Dublin Carol, Topdog/Underdog, We All Went Down to Amsterdam, The Pillowman, Love Lies Bleeding, and The Dresser. Before joining Steppenwolf, she was a member of The Remains Theatre Ensemble for 15 years. She can be seen in the films Rookie of the Year, 8mm, Falling Down, and the upcoming The Greatest.

August: Osage County currently stars: Estelle Parsons as Violet Weston and Elizabeth Ashley as Mattie Fae Aiken, with Anne Berkowitz, Guy Boyd, John Cullum, Johanna Day, Kimberly Guerrero, Brian Kerwin, Mariann Mayberry, Michael Milligan, Sally Murphy, Troy West, and Frank Wood.

August: Osage County currently performs Tuesday at 7:00PM, Wednesday-Friday at 7:30PM, Matinees on Wednesday and Saturdays at 2:00PM, Saturdays at 8:00PM and Sundays at 3:00PM.
