Herzog will narrate the play and read the Stage Directions, completing a cast that includes Lauren Ambrose as 'Rachel,' Michael Esper as 'Tom/ Tom Jr./ Man in Ski Mask,' Michael Shannon as 'Lloyd,' Quincy Tyler Bernstine as 'Pooty/ Sue,' Kathy Najimy as 'Doctors 1-6,' Daniel Breaker as 'Tim Timko/ Roy/ Talk Show Host,' and Miriam Shor as 'Trish/ Woman Patient.'

All proceeds from the reading will benefit Safe Horizon (www.safehorizon.org), "the largest organization of its kind in the United States that helps victims overcome crisis and become survives as they restore their lives". The evening is produced by The Indigo Theatre Project (Nick Gereffi and Rachel Sussman, Co-Founding Artistic Directors), a theater company that strives to unite passion with purpose by producing high-profile readings of notable plays to benefit charities aligned with the work being read. RECKLESS is Line Produced by Allison Bressi and Associate Produced by Shoshana Feinstein.

RECKLESS follows the journey of Rachel (Lauren Ambrose), a housewife who discovers one fateful Christmas Eve that her husband has hired a hit-man to kill her, sending her out the window and on an unusual series of misadventures.
