The American Place Theatre's 2009 Literature to Life Awards: Announcing the Launch of Project 451- A Campaign to Keep Literature (A)Live Sunday, May 17th, 2009 at 6pm, Monday, May 18th, 2009 at 7pm

New York, NY- St. Clement's Church, 423 West 46th Street New York, New York 10036

The American Place Theatre is honoring Ray Bradbury with the 2009 Literature to Life Award and premiering the performance of his novel Fahrenheit 451. The gala is benefitting The American Place Theatre's nationally acclaimed arts and literacy program. A Reception will follow each evening with special guests and an opportunity to contribute their voice to the Living Library, an online collection of public readings from literature.

To be held at the Theater at St. Clement's Church, the original home of The American Place Theatre beginning in 1973.

All proceeds will support the vital work of The American Place Theatre and the Literature to Life program which deeply impacts student engagement and achievement through Theatre and Literature.
