LOS ANGELES, Sept. 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ New York City-based artist and designer Hunt Slonem has partnered with PROMINENT Brand + Talent (PROMINENT) to launch the artist as a worldwide brand, developing a wide-ranging licensing program for Slonem as a lifestyle brand while also serving as his personal management agency.

Known to millions of art lovers for his vibrant, colorful paintings of birds, butterflies and bunnies as much as for his innovative interior designs combining vintage furnishings with contemporary art, Slonem is considered one of the great colorists of his time, bringing a freewheeling sense of wonder and detail to his array of paintings and sculptures and peaceful, mystical living and working spaces. Slonem continues to gain recognition, appearing this month on The Today Show. He will also be featured in upcoming issues of Vanity Fair, Modern Luxury and Traditional Home.

In developing the Hunt Slonem brand, PROMINENT will seek to create licensed products that reflect the artist's rich history in home and furniture design across a broad spectrum of categories, including furnishing, lighting, bedding, home decor accessories, jewelry, entertaining/table top, flooring and area rugs, wall coverings and more for sophisticated consumers who shop in high-end retail and specialty stores. Additionally, PROMINENT will serve as Slonem's personal management agency.

"I'm very excited about the incredible opportunity to share my style and artistic sensibilities with people around the world," said Slonem in announcing his new relationship with the agency. "As my personal management and global licensing agent, PROMINENT will seek out and secure the best possible strategic partnerships that will expand my current product offerings while also creating a comprehensive global lifestyle product line that incorporates my art and designs."

"We are honored that Hunt has appointed PROMINENT to lead his global brand expansion and to manage his business endeavors," said PROMINENT Leader Dan Levin. "Hunt is committed to supporting our efforts to create unique product offerings that truly capture his design sense, and we are diligent in securing the best possible partners as licensees who share our respect for Hunt's art, design and personal style."

"This is the first time that a cohesive line of products, each inspired by Hunt's iconic artwork as well as his imaginative home restoration projects, will be developed under the Hunt Slonem brand," added PROMINENT's Michael Catalano. "Additionally one of PROMINENT's core capabilities includes creating and implementing a comprehensive marketing effort. This will ensure that Hunt's global licensing initiative will have consistent media exposure and retail marketing support as part of our overarching brand development and personal management service. It's a long term program with seemingly limitless opportunities."

As a painter and sculptor, Slonem is well known for his neo-expressionist works of butterflies, rabbits and tropical birds. He has had over 300 one-man shows in galleries and museums internationally.
