On Monday, December 27, the renowned Judith Jamison, in her final year as Artistic Director Designate of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, will visit NYSE to ring the Closing Bell. Jamison will be joined by Artistic Director Designate Robert Battle, Associate Artistic Director Masazumi Chaya, dancers of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Executive Director Sharon Gersten Luckman and other leaders of Ailey as the Company kicks off its final week of the 2010-2011 New York City Center season that celebrates 50 years of Alvin Ailey's timeless classic, Revelations.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, the extraordinary dance company whose brilliant talent and passionate energy has brought audiences worldwide to their feet night after night, continues its 2010-2011 New York City Center season with exciting upcoming performances featuring special collaborations and guest performances.

The five-week City Center season (concluding on January 2nd) kicks off Ailey's 24 City-Tour that will highlight a diverse repertory and celebrate five decades of Revelations, Alvin Ailey's American masterpiece acclaimed as a must-see for all people. Led by the renowned Judith Jamison and joined by Artistic Director Designate Robert Battle, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will move audiences and inspire all in a universal celebration of the human spirit, using the African-American cultural experience and the American modern dance tradition.

Ailey's 2010-2011 season marks Judith Jamison's final year as Artistic Director of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. For over two decades, Judith Jamison has been Artistic Director, leading the Company to new heights around the world and into a permanent home - the nation's largest building dedicated to dance.
