Altered Stages will present a limited engagement of Love, Death, and Interior Decorating, an evening of one-act plays written by Keith Boynton. Performances will run from November 2nd to November 18th.

The first play is Walls, which "tells the story of a young woman's efforts to renovate her recently deceased father's house. Her quest is complicated by the sudden reappearance of an old flame, whose abrupt departure from her life she has never forgiven - or understood." The cast includes Joan Kubicek and Mike Lavoie.

The second play is The Quotable Assassin, which "examines the relationship between a jailed revolutionary condemned to die and the elegant lady novelist whose fascination with him may exceed the bounds of professional curiosity." The cast includes Roya Shanks and Keith Boynton.

Playwright Boynton is a recent graduate of Amherst College, a former pupil of Constance Congdon, an occasional filmmaker, a brand-new New Yorker and a halfway-decent whitewater kayaker. His other plays include Books and Water and Trinity, the latter of which he appeared in at the Abingdon Theater.

Altered Stages Theater is located at 212 West 29th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues. The limited engagement runs from November 2nd to November 18th. Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 8 and Sunday at 3. There is an additional performance Monday the 13th at 8.

Tickets are $12.75, and can be purchased at TheaterMania.com or by calling (212) 352-3101. Running time is 2 hours. The show is appropriate for ages 13 and up.
