Atlantic Theater Company's world premiere production of Academy Award-winning film maker Ethan Coen's Almost An Evening, is sold out prior to previews beginning Wednesday, January 9, 2008.
Almost An Evening, directed by Atlantic artistic director Neil Pepe, officially opens Tuesday, January 22 for a limited engagement through Sunday, February 10, 2008 Off-Broadway at Atlantic Stage 2 (330 West 16 Street).
Almost An Evening features Academy Award winner F. Murray Abraham's (Amadeus), Jonathan Cake (Cymbeline), J.R. Horne (The Crucible), Jordan Lage (Inherit the Wind), Mark Linn-Baker (Losing Louie, TV's "Perfect Strangers"), Elizabeth Marvel (Seascape), Mary McCann (Spring Awakening), Del Pentecost (FX's "Starved) and Joey Slotnick (The Altruists).
"In the world premiere of Ethan Coen's Almost An Evening, three short plays unsuccessfully tackle important questions. In Waiting, someone waits somewhere for quite some time. In Four Benches, a voyage to self-discovery takes a British intelligence agent to steam baths in New York and Texas, and to park benches in the U.S. and U.K. In Debate, cosmic questions are taken up. Not much is learned," explain press notes.
Almost An Evening will play Tuesday through Saturday at 8:00pm, Saturday matinees at 2:00pm and Sundays at 3:00 and 7:00p. All tickets are $45.00 and available by calling Ticket Central at 212-279-4200 (www.ticketcentral.com).
