The All Stars Project, the American pioneer for development and developmental learning, is launching UX - a unique development institution, free of cost, forward-thinking and open to people of all ages and backgrounds. Opening Day of UX is Saturday, September 11 at 11:00 am at the All Stars Project headquarters, 543 West 42nd Street.

"Development is the qualitative growth that human beings experience through which we gain the desire and the capacity to learn," said All Stars President & CEO, Gabrielle L. Kurlander.

"The development issue has by and large been missed in the current debate on education and poverty, which has focused almost exclusively on achievement", said the Dean of UX, Dr. Lenora Fulani. "Once our young people are developed, they can do more with and in school. Without that the prospects for learning are very limited."

"That's why at UX we say you can't learn without development" adds All Stars' Kurlander. "And development is something we want to make available to every New Yorker."

UX features a Development Coaching Center, where individuals and groups work with a Development Coach to create growth activities and independent studies customized to their needs. UX incorporates all the ongoing programs and activities of the All Stars Project, as well as numerous workshops, classes and lectures by guest artists, business professionals, community and educational leaders and visits to the "inner workings" of New York life - from Broadway to Wall Street, from business to the arts and government.

Enroll in UX on Opening Day, where festivities will include improvisation workshops, development coaching sessions, and information about all UX activities.
