After a dark secret has been revealed, Tommy separates with his girlfriend. Meanwhile, he meets with Maggie, now a successful writer, who was in love with him in high school. As he is inspired by Maggie and ready to start a career with her, he is devastated by the multiple blows that come at him. Will he survive?
