Comix at Foxwoods will play host to the hysterical stand-up comedian and 'Last Comic Standing's' "Comeback Kid" Alingon Mitra for a three-night, four-performance event beginning tonight, July 16, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. and ending with his "Nasty Show" on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 10:30 p.m.

Mitra, the soft-spoken comedian from Worcester, MA, has taken the country by storm since wining "Last Comic Standing's" 'Comic Comeback' during the final season of the stand-up comedy competition show on NBC.

When it comes to Mitra's on-stage delivery and style, he describes his unique routine as "clean" even though he doesn't set boundaries on what he should say or how he interacts with his audience. Mitra finds a way to intertwine the subjects he finds funny with his act, allowing his material to touch on other subjects aside from observational, cultural or political quips.

Though Mitra has only been performing stand-up for five years, he already has an impressive CV and a long list of achievements under his belt. In 2011, he won the "Catch a Rising Star Contest," and from then on he continued to rank in the finals of numerous competitions including "The Last Comix Standing" and "The Boston Comedy Festival." Mitra has also performed on TBS' "Conan" and has headlined some of the most renowned performance venues in the country.

When he's not performing under the bright lights the stage, Mitra, who attended Harvard University, is passionate about supporting local community organizations and groups including Medical Legal Partnership Boston (MLP Boston) and Community Legal Aid Organization. These initiatives provide low-income patients with legal assistance to fix situations that are often negatively affecting the patients' health. Mitra, who interned for MLP Boston after graduating college, remains heavily involved with the organization.

Tickets are currently available for presale through Comix and Ticketmaster. Regular sale tickets can be purchased in advance for $15-$40. This show is for mature audiences only.
