Actress/singer/songwriter Alicia Witt returns to Joe's Pub on Friday, July 17, 2009, 11:30 PM to celebrate the release of her new self-titled EP! Witt will be singing and playing a set of her original songs with full band.

Alicia Witt, an award-winning classical pianist in addition to being an acclaimed actress, will be joined by Konrad Meissner on drums and Ricardo Rodriguez on bass. Jeff Fiorello will be the opening act for this very special eveing of original music.

Alicia Witt was last seen on the New York stage on Monday, April 13, 2009, as part of The 24 Hour Musicals at The Gramercy Theatre (127 East 23rd Street, between Park and Lexington Aves). She starred alongside Richard Kind, Tamara Tunie, and Capathia Jenkins in 'ISLANDS.'

Recently on television, Witt was seen on the USA Network/NBC drama "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" as detective Nola Falacci opposite Chris Noth in an eight episode arc. Alicia is known for starring in such films as "The Upside of Anger," "Two Weeks Notice," and "Mr. Holland's Opus." Witt was recently seen opposite Al Pacino in Screen Gems' psychological thriller "88 Minutes."

She starred as Evelyn in the West End stage-production of Neil LaBute's The Shape of Things. In September 2006 she returned to the London stage, portraying the piano-playing Abigail, a role in which she demonstrated herself an "outstanding" pianist, in Piano/Forte at The Royal Court Theatre.
