ALFIO, the Australian-Italian singer/composer/musician and recording star who is considered to be one of the great voices in contemporary music today, will make his highly anticipated debut at The Triad Theatre in Manhattan on Wednesday, October 12, at 7 PM. The Sydney native, who recently moved to New York, will celebrate Columbus Day week and Italian Heritage Month with an exciting intimate show paying homage to his Italian heritage that will take the New York audience on a sentimental journey with much loved Italian and English classics that resonate around the world. ALFIO brings passion and emotion to every song he sings, as well as a Modern Classical approach and a fresh contemporary style to these much loved classics he introduces to a new generation of music lovers.

This handsome young performer is a refreshingly cool and modern throwback to the legendary singers to whom he is often compared. Until now, ALFIO has divided his time touring between Australia, North America, Europe and Asia, rapidly gaining fans all over the globe who respond to his powerful vocals and mesmerizing live shows. Classically trained in Parma, Italy, ALFIO is the consummate performer, composer and musician who, whether sitting solo at the piano, backed by a small band or large orchestra, or singing a cappella, succeeds in connecting with his audience.

An accomplished songwriter, musician and composer, ALFIO is achieving much critical acclaim with his own songs such as "Il Nostro Sogno," a song about a wish for world peace which is currently being recorded and released by other artists around the world. This hit single pushed his debut album on Warner Music Australia to Top 10 and Gold status in Australia. "Voca Pura" is his loving tribute to Luciano Pavarotti, which ALFIO wrote after a memorable dinner they shared together in Sydney and which was sent to Pavarotti shortly before his death. Another of ALFIO's popular songs is "Passione e Volutta," a theme he sings about frequently - Passion and love.

ALFIO will be touring North America immediately following his show at The Triad Theatre. His New York show will include songs performed in English and Italian.

Tickets are $20 and a two-drink minimum. The Triad Theater is located on the 2nd Floor at 158 West 72nd Street, between Broadway and Columbus Avenue. For reservations: 212/362-2590. Cash only accepted at the door on the night of the performance.
