The program's aim is to keep the live classical music experience vital, stimulating, and alive at Bethel Woods, and to reach out to Sullivan County youth to encourage them to experience and enjoy performances of the highest quality."

Daniel Stroup, President of Shandelee Music Festival adds, "Our goal is to present an unparalleled concert series and inspire young people, who will be our future audience, with live classical concert experiences. PLAY: The Classics encompasses our vision. Together, we bring world-class artists from around the world to present concerts for all ages. PLAY: The Classics also includes a Youth and Outreach Program to connect with, engage and inspire young adults in Sullivan County."

Comprised of violinist Francesca dePasquale, cellist Juliette Herlin, and pianist Fei-Fei Dong, the Aletheia Piano Trio is quickly rising to acclaim for their impassioned energy and musical integrity. Praised as an "outstanding ensemble" with "confidence and understanding of musicians beyond their years" (Palm Beach Daily News), the trio was formed in 2013 at the Juilliard School and quickly gave debut performances at the Rose Studio and Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York and the Terrace Theater at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. They have coached with artists such as David Finckel, Joseph Kalichstein, Yoheved Kaplinsky, Ida Kavafian, Merry Peckham, and Vivian Weilerstein. In addition to their studies at Juilliard, the trio has attended the Perlman Music Program Chamber Music Workshop, performing as an ensemble and with artists such as Itzhak Perlman, Roger Tapping, and Donald Weilerstein.

Highlights of recent performances include debut appearances at the Chamber Music Society of Palm Beach, Saint Vincent College Concert Series (Latrobe, PA), Shandelee Music Festival (Livingston Manor, NY), Harvard Club of New York, Perlman Music Program Alumni Recital series, Music at the Institute series at the Ukrainian Institute (New York, NY), and the Hewlett Woodmere Library series (Hewlett, NY), as well as return performances at the Second Sunday Concert series (Bethlehem, PA) and American Irish Historical Society (New York, NY). Upcoming appearances include performances for Concerts in the Barn (Quilcene, WA), Macon Concert Association (Wesleyan College), Friends of Chamber Music (Reading, PA), and Beacon Hill Concerts (Stroudsburg, PA), as well as Beethoven Triple Concerto with the Gustav Mahler Orchestra for the Busan Maru International Music Festival in Korea and a ten-city tour across China.

Members of the Aletheia Piano Trio bring together an extraordinary background of chamber music experience and cultural explorations, collaborating with artists such as the Brentano String Quartet, Gérard Caussé, Paul Coletti, Glenn Dicterow, Jérôme Ducros, Jennifer Frautschi, Alexander Kerr, Ronald Leonard, Robert Levin, Anne-Marie McDermott, Robert McDuffie, and Jérôme Pernoo. Additionally, they have performed as featured artists for the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society, Bravo! Vail music festival, Olympic Music Festival, Manhattan Chamber Players, Marinus Ensemble, Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players, Music@Menlo, Music in the Vineyards, Philadelphia Orchestra Chamber Music series, Colburn Chamber Music Society, Yellow Barn, and Les vacances de Monsieur Haydn.

The ensemble is named for Aletheia, the Greek concept of sincerity, which celebrates their approach to realizing musical works, as well as their connection to each other and their audiences.

The concert will also include an engaging pre-concert introduction to the repertoire being performed and a post-concert "mingle with the artist" dessert and coffee reception.

The performance of the Alethia Piano Trio has been funded by Bethel Woods Center for the Arts members and donors and by the Rea Charitable Trust.
