Alec Baldwin will round out the cast of the upcoming benefit concert of Rodgers and Hammersteins' South Pacific.

With the addition of Baldwin as Luther Billis, Alexio Barboza as Jerome, Alex de Castro as Ngana and Renita Croney as Liat, the principal cast list for the June 9th Carnegie Hall concert is now set. Reba McEntire will sing the role of Nellie Forbush, with Brian Stokes Mitchell as Emile de Becque, Lillias White as Bloody Mary, Jason Danieley as Lt. Cable, Dylan Baker as Commander William Harbison, Conrad John Schuck as Captain Brackett, Alexander Gemignani as Stewpot, and Tom Deckman as the Professor.

David Ives' revised book is adapted from Hammerstein's and Joshua Logan's original. Walter Bobbie will direct the concert, while Paul Gemignani will conduct the Orchestra of St. Luke's. The concert's design team comprises John Lee Beatty (scenic consultant), Catherine Zuber (costume consultant), Alan Adelman (lighting designer) and Acme Sound Partners (sound design).

South Pacific, which is based on James Michener's Tales of the South Pacific, starred Mary Martin as Nellie and Ezio Pinza as Emile when it opened at the Majestic Theatre on April 7th, 1949. Rodgers and Hammerstein's second-longest running show at 1,925 performances, it won all of its 11 Tony nominations in 1950, including Best Musical.

Stage and screen star Baldwin most recently appeared as Oscar Jaffe in the Roundabout revival of Twentieth Century. Other Broadway credits include the 1992 revival of A Streetcar Named Desire
(for which he received a Tony nod), Serious Money and Loot. His extensive film resume includes The Aviator, State and Main, Notting Hill, Glengarry Glen Ross, Prelude to a Kiss and Working Girl. He received an Oscar nomination, too, for 2003's The Cooler.
