Longtime theatrical colleagues Alan Wasser, Allan Williams, Aaron Lustbader and Mark Shacket announced today the formation of Foresight Theatrical LLC, a new company which will provide general management and executive producing services for Broadway, off-Broadway, touring theatrical productions and other live entertainment.
Foresight Theatrical is a successor to the highly-respected general management firm of Alan Wasser Associates, which Wasser founded in 1981. Wasser and Williams joined forces as business partners in 1999, and in more recent years, Lustbader and Shacket have both taken on a greater role in the company’s operations.
Said Alan Wasser: “The creation of Foresight Theatrical represents a natural evolution of our business. For the past several few years the four of us have functioned effectively as business partners, and it is now only appropriate for us to make that a more formal arrangement.”
Allan Williams added, “I’m very happy to have the privilege of working with Alan, Aaron, and Mark, and rely upon their intelligence, commitment, and enormous passion for the productions we represent. The coming years should be very exciting for Foresight Theatrical.”
Today’s announcement reflects the growing scope of the company’s business, and its role as an industry leader. Foresight will continue to furnish general management and executive producing services for Broadway and touring productions, and will also devote substantial resources to producing and managing family attractions, arena productions, and other presentations in all areas of the live entertainment industry.
AWA's past and Current Productions include The Phantom of the Opera, Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark, Million Dollar Quartet, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake, Fosse, Promises Promises, A Chorus Line, Grey Gardens, and numerous other shows both on Broadway and on tour. AWA also managed the touring arena production of Walking with Dinosaurs, as well as family attractions such as Nickelodeon’s Dora the Explorer, ThemeStar’s Thomas the Train, and DreamWorks’ Madagascar. For the past four years, AWA general managed the Tony Awards, which were broadcast nationally on the CBS television network. Upcoming productions include KINKY BOOTS, Hands On A Hardbody, The Nutty Professor, and Tuck Everlasting.
Foresight Theatrical’s offices will be located at 1650 Broadway, Suite 800, the long-time home of Alan Wasser Associates.
