Agora Gallery is pleased to present a new collective exhibition in our main gallery and a solo exhibition by Nathan Sawaya in our adjacent gallery. Scheduled to run from March 23, 2010 through April 13, 2010, Contemporary German Art: The New York Experience is a captivating survey of modern-day artists from Germany. The exhibition is an exciting collection offering New York art enthusiasts insight into the art movement in Germany today. Portals of Perception bridges the wide expanse of artistic possibilities, gathering together impressionist, realist, and abstract works. What we find, surprisingly, is not the differences but the similarities as these talented artists vocalize the inspirations of places, people, and feelings. While the particular visual language may differ, the spirit behind the works has many overlapping areas, because to be human is to realize ourselves within our mental and physical environs. Brick by Brick: the LEGO Brick Sculpture of Nathan Sawaya features the work of the talented Nathan Sawaya whose primary medium is Lego bricks - a rare and creative choice that allows him to produce unique, fascinating sculptures.
