Agnus Stephenson Presents The 2018 Aggy Awards ImageAgnus Stephenson, the "acting teacher with a voice of gold" (The Minneapolis Daily Record) presents THE 17th ANNUAL AGNUS STEPHENSON (AGGY) AWARDS, honoring her students for distinguished achievement on Broadway. Agnus is lauded as the premier acting teacher in the Northern Hemisphere, given her extraordinary ability to tug at the heartstrings of her students by performing in class. "I deserve these honors because I made all of these Broadway shows happen," says Stephenson. Her "I'm glad I'm not as talentless as the majority of my students" approach has propelled her protégés to Television, Film and Broadway.

This year marks the 17th anniversary of the first AGGY Awards, which were held on April 21st, 2002 in her living room on West 63rd Street. It will be the first time this exclusive event is open to the public. The star-studded evening will feature special performances from many of this season's shows. The ceremony is produced and hosted by Agnus Stephenson and is a venture between herself, her assistant Adelaide, and several anonymous patrons who serve as the awards committee.

The AGGY Awards will be performed and live-stream-broadcasted on Saturday, May 19th, 2018 (9:30-10:30 pm ET) at The Duplex Theatre in NYC, and on Instagram and Facebook. The AGGIES were created as a fundraiser for studio space and have since become the industry's most highly sought-after prize, awarded by Agnus.

Agnus would like to remind everyone that she can't bring ginger ale as in years past because The Duplex profits from bar sales. She will, however, put out a hat in the center for donations.

Tickets: $8 online, $12 at the door at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre. 21 years+. 2 drink minimum per guest. For tickets and more info, visit www.TrevorMcQueen.com. PR by Toro Communications.
