Kritzerland, Bruce Kimmel's new CD label, has launched a website. The first two recordings on the label--After the Ball and Guy Haines' solo album New Guy in Town--are both available for purchase on the site.
After the Ball was recently directed by Tony Walton at the Irish Repertory Theatre. A musicalization of Oscar Wilde's Lady Windemere's Fan with a score by Noel Coward, the CD will feature stars Kristin Huxhold, Mary Illes, Paul Carlin, David Staller, Collette
Simmons, Greg Mills, Kathleen Widdoes, Josh Grisetti, Drew Eshelman and
Elizabeth Inghram. Singer Guy Haines has sung on a number of recordings on the labels with which Kimmel was previously associated, Varese Records and Fynsworth Alley; among these are several CDs on the Unsung Musicals and Lost in Boston series, as well as his solo album Haines His Way.On the Kritzerland site, visitors can hear audio clips from both albums, view session and production photographs, and video of the recording session of After the Ball. There is also an interview with the legendary Walton, who is most famous for his Tony-winning set and costume designs.
Kritzerland CDs will be available at select stores around the world, as well as most online CD venues, along with digital download stores such as iTunes and CDBaby.
