Adrian Baidoo, Carlos Arce Jr, and Vanessa Pereda-Felix Join BREATH TO BREATH First Look in NYC  ImageAdrian Baidoo, Carlos Arce Jr, and Vanessa Pereda-Felix join previously cast Zahaira Curiel (Platanos & Collard Greens) for a first look and listen of BREATH TO BREATH on Monday, December 4 at 7pm at the Bernie Wohl Theatre. Omar Perez will direct for the 29th Street Playwrights Collective New Works Series.

BREATH TO BREATH is a new musical about heroes, New Yorkers, growing up, comic books and finding a place to breathe, with book and lyrics by Michael Wells-Oakes and music by Max Balton.

In BREATH TO BREATH young high school student India Ramos (Curiel), and her family battle overwhelming grief stemming from 9/11. Meanwhile, Subway Girl battles Dust Monster for control of the City! Will the Ramos family survive. . . will The City?

Hailing from Ghana, Adrian Baidoo's Off-Broadway debut was PIRIRA. Then came a spot on the USA Network Series "Royal Pains." Next was the First National Tour of Broadway's CINDERELLA.

Carlos Arce Jr, has been featured in co-starring roles on Orange Is The New Black, Jessica Jones, and the new HULU show, The Looming Tour.

Vanessa Pereda-Felix has appeared at The Atlantic Theater Company, Soho Rep, EST, The Bushwick Starr, the PIT, with Superhero Clubhouse at the New Victory Theater and is currently in the children's puppet musical Addy & Uno at Theatre Row.

Writer/lyricist Michael Wells-Oakes (REMEMBER ME ALWAYS and GREENFIELD BLOOMS/Samuel French) is a playwright and screenwriter whose work often deals with teen-age, family and alien themes.

Composer Max Balton has performed alongside Roy Nathanson and the Jazz Passengers in the musical "Trashed Out" and worked with young composers with Nathanson's music and education project "Subway Moon" which has toured throughout United States and Europe.

29th Street Playwright Collective New Works Series is made possible in part with public funds from Creative Engagement, supported by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council and administered by Lower Manhattan Cultural Council.
