Adam Kaplan, Julia Mattison & More Will Take Part in CARES CONTINUES Concert on 9/29

Alumni from the top collegiate fundraisers for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS will join together Monday, September 29, 2014, for Cares Continues: The Strength in Generations, a benefit rock concert celebrating a new generation of activists joining the fight for those battling HIV/AIDS. The one-night-only concert pairs '80s favorites popular during the early days of AIDS activism with hopeful stories from today's activist generation.

The 9:30 pm performance will be at The Cutting Room, 44 East 32nd Street, in New York City.

Performers include Broadway's Adam Kaplan (Newsies) and Julia Mattison (Godspell) as well as Zach Bencal, Alex Boniello, Luke Hoback, Danielle Lussier, Melody Madarasz, , Carman Napier, Blake Pfeil, Amanda Snyder, Michael Tacconi, Sarah Talbot and Dana Vincent. They represent Elon University, Emerson College, The Hartt School at the University of Hartford, Ithaca College, Syracuse University and Wagner College. Sons of Origin will be the house band for the evening. There will be a silent auction before the show featuring Broadway memorabilia.

The concert will be directed by Michael Bello with music direction by Jason Yarcho. The evening is produced by Sarah Mitchel, Allie Dufford and Sara DeViney and benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
