Actors Fund's Auction of 1000 Stars Begins Online 6/11

The Actors Fund's Annual Auction of 1000 Stars launches online June 11 at www.auctionof1000stars.org. Bidders will have two weeks to vie for once-in-a-lifetime experiences and a host of unique autographed memorabilia from the worlds of stage, screen, television, music, dance, radio and sports.  All proceeds from the auction go to support the vital programs and services of The Actors Fund.

Auction winners can choose from 125 listings in honor of The Fund's 125th Anniversary, including the chance to spend a night on the town in NYC with "30 Rock"'s Alec Baldwin, have dinner with actor Alan Cumming, take a private Shakespearean acting lesson with Lynn Redgrave , meet the Grammy-winning rock group Linkin Park or make a Broadway debut with walk-on roles in Rent, Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia! and Chicago

Also up for grabs are behind the scenes television tours including a visit to CNN with Nancy Grace, an invitation to the set of "All My Children" with Jacob Young, a day on the set of Fox's "MADtv," a tour of CBS's "Guiding Light" hosted by star Robert Newman, a VIP day on the set of Turner Classic Movies in Atlanta with host Robert Osborne and tickets to Emeril Live and a tour of The Food Network kitchens. 

Gala event passes are available for the 2008 Tony Awards and the Tony Awards Gala, the 2008 Nick Kid's Choice Awards, the 2008 Grammy Awards , the 2008 Film Independent Spirit Awards after-party and red carpet bleacher seats for the 14th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. 

Lucky winners will be invited to attend opening night celebrations for the upcoming Broadway productions of Grease, Xanadu, Tom Stoppard's Rock 'n' Roll, Conor McPherson's The Seafarer, the newly discovered Mark Twain farce, Is He Dead?, and more. There are also guitar lessons from Tony Award winning actor Michael Cerveris, a vocal coaching session with Barbara Cook, a VIP day at Shea Stadium with the New York Mets or have internationally acclaimed artist Peter Max paint your portrait.
