The acclaimed sketch comedy show BROAD COMEDY has been nominated for an EPIC (Enhancing Perceptions in Culture) Award, in the category of ‘Emerging Artists.' The ‘Emerging Artists' Award is given those performers who are enhancing perceptions of women in the culture. The 2010 EPIC Awards will be held on April 7, 2010 in New York City.
The EPIC Awards honor innovators who bring positive images of women's leadership to the American public. The EPIC Awards were created by The White House Project, a national, nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization, whose aim is to advance women's leadership in all communities and sectors.
BROAD COMEDY, now playing at Acme Comedy Theatre through the end of March, is six irreverent and very funny women who can do it all -- sing, dance and tackle political satire. Critics have referred to BROAD COMEDY as A cross between "Saturday Night Live" and "The Vagina Monologues" and The Dixie Chicks of American Sketch Comedy. For more information on BROAD COMEDY, visit http://www.broadcomedy.com/
