Jewish-Uruguayan, Academy Award and Latin Grammy Award-winning, singer-songwriter Jorge Drexler is coming to the Beacon Theatre in the Upper West Side in February.
Drexler is most famous for his Academy Award-winning song Al Otro Lado del Rio from The Motorcycle Diaries (Diarios de Motocicleta). The former doctor is our favorite Spanish-language singer-songwriter. He is a deep thinker who combines Jewish mysticism with thoughts on love and life. Drexler even did one of the most popular TED talks ever in Spanish. Drexler's latest Salvavidas de hielo (Life Vest of Ice) drips thoughts on identity, migration, and the ephemeral nature of life. He will make you fall in love with the natural poetry of the Spanish language. Don't miss this!Saturday, February 10, 2018
