Abrams Artists Agency Founder and CEO Harry Abrams is pleased to announce the restructuring and realignment of the company's senior leadership. This strategic reorganization will lead the agency with a cohesive and streamlined approach between the Los Angeles and New York offices.
Neal Altman and Robert Attermann have been appointed to Chief Operating Officers of the company in Los Angeles and New York. Brian Cho has been named the Chief Financial Officer in Los Angeles and New York. Marni Rosenzweig has been promoted to Senior Vice President in Los Angeles and heads up the Los Angeles Talent Division, which includes the adult and youth departments.
"This is an exciting time for Abrams Artists Agency," said Chairman and CEO Harry Abrams. "I could not be more proud of our nearly four decades in the business, and my outstanding staff members who have worked tirelessly to get us here. I am confident that this newly appointed structure will lead us into the future in exciting, contemporary and creative ways. While we continue to work behind the scenes to ensure the very best for the company, our philosophy remains the same - our clients are our most important focus."
In addition to their strong television, film, theater, commercial (voiceover and on-camera), literary and book divisions, Abrams has expanded their diverse offerings to also include an alternative programming division with an impressive roster of social media influencers and top talent from some of the biggest unscripted series on television. With the expansion, the agency's 360-degree approach also now includes branding and licensing, allowing Abrams Artists to continue to pursue a broad range of opportunities for their clientele as a leader in today's evolving entertainment landscape.
Founded in 1977, Abrams Artists Agency maintains a reputation as one of the nation's most respected and diversified talent and literary agencies. Currently staffed with over 100 employees and with principal offices in New York and Los Angeles, Abrams Artists Agency represents clients in all areas of the entertainment industry.
Harry Abrams began his career in 1957 at MCA Artists in the mailroom and rose quickly to become an agent in the Television Department. When the company was forced to divest itself of its talent agency, Mr. Abrams and a colleague started their own specialized talent agency in Los Angeles. Focusing on the representation of broadcast talent for commercials, as well as spokespeople on behalf of products, they later opened a New York City branch of the agency. Mr. Abrams quickly became enamored with the theatrical actor in New York and began working with them in a commercial capacity, while looking to represent them in a theatrical capacity as well. His business partner did not agree and moved on, paving the way for the company now known as Abrams Artists Agency. In 1977 Mr. Abrams was able to create a talent agency that fit his own personal vision; a full service agency. After establishing affiliations with LA based agencies and working together for a number of years, he was able to open a subsidiary which later became the LA office of Abrams Artists Agency.
Neal Altman began at Abrams Artists Agency 37 years ago, shortly after Harry Abrams launched the company. Working his way up through the various departments, Neal found himself in the TV and Radio Commercial Division. Specializing in representing actors for voiceover and narration, Neal built a successful roster of international talent, expanding the voiceover division to where it is today featuring one of the largest departments on both coasts in the company's industry. As Chief Operating Officer and Co-Managing Director of the New York office, Neal proudly continues his longstanding association with the organization he's helped build throughout the years.
Robert Attermann began his career in the mailroom at I.C.M., working his way up to assisting agents in the talent department in their New York office. Twenty seven years ago he made the switch to Abrams Artists Agency as an agent in the Talent Department, which he now runs. Attermann recently became Chief Operating Officer while continuing his dual roles as Co-Managing Director of the New York office and Head of the Talent Divisions.
Brian Cho began his career 16 years ago at Abrams Artists Agency as an executive in the Business Affairs Department, and has steadily risen through the roles of Manager, Vice President of Finance in LA, and now his current title of Chief Financial Officer. He is responsible for the financial management of the company, as well as supervising the operations of the Los Angeles office. Brian's core expertise includes optimizing cash flow, improving profits, and building an infrastructure to facilitate growth.
Marni Rosenzweig joined Abrams Artists Agency as an Agent in Training and she has ascended from promising mailroom employee to Senior Vice President of the company. She now oversees both the Adult and Youth Talent Divisions where she began her time at Abrams over 18 years ago. Rosenzweig proudly realized her vision of creating a philanthropic organization within the agency that would foster collaboration between the agency's various departments and inspire people to do good for the community at large. The cleverly coined, "Agents of Change," has made great strides over the past three years, partnering with various organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Heal the Bay and the Greater West Hollywood Food Coalition.
