Beginning performances Tuesday, June 24, Aaron Tveit will play Fiyero in the Broadway musical WICKED.  He joins a cast which will include Kerry Ellis as Elphaba (beginning June 17), Kendra Kassebaum as Glinda, Jayne Houdyshell as Madame Morrible (beginning June 17), Lenny Wolpe as The Wizard, Cristy Candler as Nessarose, Ben Liebert as Boq, and Steven Skybell as Dr. Dillamond.   David Burnham is currently playing the role of Fiyero.

Aaron Tveit recently appeared in the off-Broadway musical Next to Normal, for which he was nominated for a Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Featured Actor, and is currently performing in Saved at Playwrights Horizons.  He also co-starred in the New York workshop of the upcoming Broadway musical Catch Me If You Can.  Aaron has appeared as Link in Hairspray on Broadway, a role he also performed in the show's first national tour.  Other credits include the first national tour of Rent (Roger), the New England premiere of The Three Musketeers (D'Artagnan), Calvin Berger at Barrington Stage Company.  Aaron recently shot the pilot for "The Verdict" and can be seen in the upcoming DreamWorks film Ghost Town,

The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular.  WICKED tells the story of their remarkable odyssey, how these two unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch.

Declared "A Cultural Phenomenon" by Variety, WICKED currently has productions in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, London, Tokyo, Stuttgart, Melbourne and on a North American tour.  Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, WICKED has music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, and a book by Winnie Holzman.  The production is directed by Joe Mantello with musical staging by Wayne Cilento.  WICKED is produced by Marc Platt, Universal Pictures, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt and David Stone.
