Jeffrey David Sears -- who appeared in the national tour of AVENUE Q -- will join the cast of AVENUE Q at New World Stages (340 W. 50 St. in Manhattan) in the roles of Princeton and Rod starting Monday, December 26.

Winner of three Tony Awards including Best Musical, AVENUE Q is the hilarious and internationally-acclaimed musical about a group of 20-somethings -- people and puppets alike -- who move to New York with big dreams and tiny bank accounts.
During the holiday season weeks including Christmas and New Year AVENUE Q will play the following schedule: Wednesday, December 21 at 8 p.m., Thursday, December 22 at 8 p.m., Friday, December 23 at 2:30 and 8 p.m., Saturday, December 24 at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, December 25 at 8 p.m., Monday, December 26 at 2:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 27 at 8:00 p.m.; Wednesday, December 28 at 2:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., Thursday, December 29 at 8:00pm; Friday, December 30 at 2:30 p.m. and 8:00pm; (no performance Saturday December 31) and Sunday, January 1 at 8:00pm.
AVENUE Q has music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, book by Jeff Whitty, and is directed by Jason Moore. Based on an original concept by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, with puppets conceived and designed by Rick Lyon, AVENUE Q has musical supervision by Stephen Oremus, choreography by Ken Roberson, scenic design by Anna Louizos, costume design by Mirena Rada, lighting design by Howell Binkley, and sound design by Acme Sound Partners.
Winner of three Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Score (Messrs. Lopez and Marx) and Best Book of a Musical (Mr. Whitty), AVENUE Q became an overnight sensation on Broadway in July 2003, having transferred following a wildly successful engagement Off-Broadway at The Vineyard Theatre in Union Square. Now soon to enter its 10th year, AVENUE Q moved to its current home at New World Stages in 2009 and continues to play to happy, sold-out audiences there eight times a week.
AVENUE Q is produced at New World Stages, as it was on Broadway, by Kevin McCollum, Robyn Goodman, Jeffrey Seller, The Vineyard Theatre and The New Group.
Starting January 2 AVENUE Q will resume its normal playing schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00pm, Saturdays at 2:30 pm and 8:00pm and Sundays at 3:00pm and 7:30 pm. Tickets range in price from $89.50 to $69.50 and are available by calling Tele Charge 212-239-6200 or www.telecharge.com.
