Black sits down with some of today's most provocative writers, entertainers, artists, innovative thinkers and politicians for humorous, thought-provoking conversations that dive into the creative process and the intricate minds of some of the most influential voices of our time. Today, he sits down with the dazzling Audra McDonald.

The record-breaking, six-time Tony Award-winning actress Audra McDonald went from a hyper-active kid performing in the local dinner theater to Broadway mega-star. In this episode, Michael chats with her about failed auditions, letting go of her idea of perfection, and how she learned to embraces new challenges, such as learning to tap dance for her upcoming role in SHUFFLE ALONG.

Fans of sketch comedy might know Black from such seminal television programs as The State, Stella and Michael and Michael Have Issues, all of which he co-created, wrote and starred in. In addition to performing stand up across the country, Black has starred in many films and television shows including Ed, Wet Hot American Summer, Burning Love, They Came Together and VH1's I Love the '80s. He has written best-selling books for both children and adults, is the co-host of two popular podcasts. His upcoming projects include the untitled Jim Gaffigan show, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp for Netflix and Comedy Central's Another Period.
