Later this month on Thursday, January 24, Broadway's Palace Theatre will be visited by thousands of NYC public school students as the Great White Way's leading arts education not-for-profit Inside Broadway partners with the Broadway revival of Annie to offer two exclusive 'Creating the Magic' events. Taking place at 10:45am and 1:15pm, the programs are being presented for free to over 2,500 New York City public school students as they get a behind the scenes look at the magical world of Broadway and learn about all the career opportunities in the theater.

On January 24, these thrilling, interactive and completely free 'Creating the Magic' programs will fill the Palace Theatre with over 2,500 New York City public school students that participate in Inside Broadway's programs (this will be many of the students' first time visiting a Broadway theatre). Attendees will get a special behind the scenes look at the world of Broadway with members of the Annie cast and crew (lighting, sound, stage management and orchestra) all taking part. From exciting set, lighting and sound demonstrations to musical performances from the cast and a Q&A session, it is sure to provide an unforgettable experience.

Since 1982, Inside Broadway (Founder/Executive Director, Michael Presser) has impacted the lives of nearly one million New York City public school students with its one-of-a-kind programs that aim to enrich, educate and foster new generations of theatergoers and lifelong participation in the arts.

"We are so very excited to kick off 2013 with one of our most cherished events for New York City students" says Inside Broadway's Executive Director Michael Presser, "And we couldn't be happier to be partnering with the new revival of Annie which is a perfect fit for these incredible programs as we reach a new generation of theatergoers."

Inside Broadway was established in 1982 by Michael Presser. Today, Inside Broadway reaches over 30,000 New York City students each year and develops and produces touring equity musical productions as well as a wide range of educational programs that allow participants to interact with professionals in the field and experience theatre hands-on in the classroom.
