ALTAR BOYZ Representin' In BroadwayWorld Show Videos

The BroadwayWorld Video Show Previews section continues to grow with the addition of Off-Broadway's hit, "ALTAR BOYZ". Check out the latest preview, buy your tickets and then head over to Dodger Stages this week to catch the brand new song ("Leading The Way") written for the victims of Hurricane Katrina following the show!

Altar Boyz is a musical-comedy spoof about a fictitious Christian boy-band on the last night of their national "Raise the Praise" tour. The Boyz - five ultra-talented heartthrobs from Ohio - are lead singer Matthew (the pretty-boy hunk and leader of the pack), Mark (a sensitive young man with a deep faith in Cher), Luke (a bad-boy with an "interest" in communion wine), Juan (a hot-blooded crooner with a passion for pretty girls) and Abraham (a nice Jewish boy, who's not quite sure how he ended up here...though his mother would sure like to know). The Boyz begin to question their faith in each other, and learn if fate is really holding them together – or if it's just their extra-firm hair gel. With their sweet harmonies, sinfully spectacular dancing and an unnerving sense of fashion, the Altar Boyz are destined to rock the masses! A musical for the entire family, Altar Boyz is 90 minutes of pure fun.
ALTAR BOYZ is directed by Stafford Arima and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli. ALTAR BOYZ has music and lyrics by Gary Adler and Michael Patrick Walker with book by Kevin Del Aguila, based on a concept by Marc Kessler and Ken Davenport.
The creative team includes scene design by Anna Louizos, costume design by Gail Brassard, lighting design by Natasha Katz and sound design by Simon Matthews. Lynne Shankel serves as Music Director and Co-Orchestrator with Doug Katsaros.
