ABC Fall Line-Up Includes Chenoweth, Clayburgh, Etc.

According to Zap2It.com, Dylan McDermott, Peter Krause, Jill Clayburgh, Taye Diggs, Kristin Chenoweth, Jim Dale, Swoosie Kurtz, Christina Applegate, Jean Smart, Frances O'Connor, Victor Garber, Laura Benanti, Loretta Devine and Judy Greer will be among the theatre veterans featured in new shows as part of ABC's fall TV line-up.

McDermott ("The Practice," The Treatment) will be featured with Michael Vartan, Christopher Titus, Nia Long, Jessica Collins and others in "Big Shots."  In the show, "four top executives lean on one another for help in their personal and professional lives."

Krause ("Six Feet Under," After the Fall) and Clayburgh (Barefoot in the Park, A Naked Girl on the Appian Way, An Unmarried Woman) will star in "Dirty Sexy Money," also featuring William Baldwin and Donald Sutherland.  "An idealistic lawyer inherits his late father's practice -- representing a wealthy, ne'er-do-well family with a closet full of skeletons."

Diggs (Chicago, Rent, Wicked) will star with Kate Walsh, Tim Daly, Amy Brenneman and more in "Private Practice."  "Dr. Addison Montgomery of 'Grey's Anatomy' sets up a new life with some old friends in Southern California."

As previously announced, Chenoweth (Tony Award-winner for You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Wicked, "The West Wing") will star with Kurtz (Heartbreak House, "Huff") and Dale (Tony Award-winner for Barnum, The Threepenny Opera), as well as Lee Pace, Anna Friel (Closer) and Chi McBride in the drama "Pushing Daisies."  "A man discovers his touch can bring the dead back to life -- but they die again if he touches them a second time."

Applegate (Sweet Charity, "Married with Children") will lead the cast of "Sam I Am," in which "a woman awakens from an 8-day coma with complete amnesia about who she was before an accident. Starting over, she learns that she while she's much nicer now, she may have enjoyed herself more then."  Smart (The Man Who Came to Dinner, "Designing Women") and Jennifer Esposito are among her co-stars.

O'Connor (Tom & Viv in the West End, The Importance of Being Earnest) will be among the stars of "Cashmere Mafia," also featuring Lucy Liu, Miranda Otto, Peter Hermann and others.  "Four female best friends since business school band together to conquer New York."

As previously announced, Benanti (The Wedding Singer, Nine), Garber (Follies at Encores!, "Alias") and Devine (Dreamgirls, "Grey's Anatomy") will star in the legal drama "Eli Stone."  In the show, "a lawyer becomes convinced he's a modern-day prophet."  Natasha Henstridge, Jonny Lee Miller and James Saito are among the other stars.

Greer (Show People) will headline the cast of "Miss/Guided," also starring Brooke Burns, Earl Billings and more. "A woman who was unpopular in high school returns to her alma mater as a guidance counselor."

Other new shows to air this fall include the comedy "Carpoolers," the comedy "Cavemen," the drama "Women's Murder Club," and "Oprah's Big Give."
