Florida native VINCENT WARREN was a celebrated figure in the dance world of Canada. After a distinguished career as a principal dancer with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, Warren became widely known and respected as a teacher, historian and archivist. His many awards include a Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Medal in 1977, a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012, and being named a member of the order of Canada in 2004.

The film by Marie Brodeur features Warren and many well-known dancers in excerpts from Dolin's production of Giselle; Fernand Nault's Tommy, Carmina Burana, and others; Brian MacDonald's Diabelli Variations, and more, with Annette av Paul, MacDonald, Anik Bissonnette, Paul-Andre Fortier, Jeanne Renaud, and others.

A Man of Dance, here receiving its New York premiere, is presented by the Film Society of Lincoln Center and Dance Films Association.
