A Conversation with Susie Essman & Mario Cantone Set for Stage 72, 11/20

Next month on Wednesday, November 20 at 7PM spend an intimate evening with two of the funniest New Yorkers at A Conversation with Susie Essman & Mario Cantone, a special one-night comedy event taking place at STAGE 72 (158 West 72nd Street).

In this hilarious evening, comedians, actors, authors and close friends of 28 years Susie Essman and Mario Cantone will share their wisdom about love, life, comedy and more as they interview each other, no holds barred and with musical accompaniment! Essman, star of Curb Your Enthusiasm and Cantone, a truly recognizable face (and voice) from stage and screen, are among today's most original, leading comic talents and this event is sure to provide a laugh-out-loud and entertaining evening to remember.

A Conversation with Susie Essman & Mario Cantone will take place at STAGE 72 (158 West 72nd Street) on Wednesday, November 20 at 7pm. Tickets are $30 and $20 plus a two-drink minimum and can be purchased online at www.Stage72.com.

Essman has played the sassy Susie Greene for all eight seasons of the critically-acclaimed HBO comedy series, Curb Your Enthusiasm. Her hilarious bouts of withering sarcasm and uninhibited insults have become her character's trademark. Susie's streetwise vernacular is perfectly suited for her life in Manhattan where she has been a veteran of the world of standup comedy for twenty-nine years. She has appeared in her own half-hour HBO comedy special, made numerous appearances on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The View, and Crank Yankers, to name just a few of her many television credits. She has also acted in numerous films, most recently costarring with John Travolta as the voice of Mittens the Cat in the Disney animated movie Bolt. Susie's book "What Would Susie Say - Bullshit Wisdom About Love, Life and Comedy" is published by Simon & Schuster and is now available in paperback. Susie divides her time between New York City and upstate New York where she lives with her husband, four step-children, and dog.

Cantone, the celebrated New York stage actor and stand-up comedian gained critical acclaim with his Tony-nominated one-man show Laugh Whore, from its appearance at the Cort Theatre on Broadway to the Showtime special. The previous theatre season saw Cantone starring in the Tony-winning Assassins by Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman.. Cantone has performed his irreverent stand-up comedy at a wide range of venues, including Carnegie Hall, where he warmed up jazz great Shirley Bassey, to performances at Atlantic City's Borgata and Atlantic Club, Headlining at Gotham Comedy and Caroline's on Broadway. Over the years his routines have included musical parodies of Judy Garland, Jim Morrison, Peggy Lee, Bruce Springsteen and Liza Minnelli. His other television credits include appearances on Late Night with David Letterman, Jimmy Fallon, Oprah, Martha, The Today Show, and throughout its 15 year run, multiple appearances on ABC's The View.
