A Class Act, Jessica Rofe Cates and Mark Tumminelli's Acting Studio dedicated to providing theatre programs for New York City schools' after-school curriculums, has announced two new workshops for the month of April. A Class Act's website lists their mission as being "to enrich children's lives by introducing them to the magic of the performing arts in a fun, safe and supportive environment."

On Sunday, April 15, from 11AM—3PM, A Class Act will host an "Acting II" workshop with Broadway actress Kaitlin Hopkins (The Great American Trailer Park Musical). The workshop, targeted at students who have already studied with A Class Act's other programs, will focus on monologue preparation, scene work, script study, and character development.

Saturday, April 21 and Sunday, April 22, 10AM—2PM, will see CBS's Maribeth Fox, a respected On-Camera Casting Director, teach "On Camera Commercial" focusing on audition technique and acting for the camera.

A Class Act's "Acting II" workshop is $100, and for ages 9-14. "On-Camera Commercial is $200, and divided into groups for ages 7-11 and 12-16. Workshops are held at Ripley-Grier Studios, 520 8th Ave, on the 16th floor. To reserve a space, call (212) 636-9172 or visit www.aClassActNY.com.
