Summer is coming. On April 24th, the fight continues. Who will win the... Game of Beers?!
Wish Experience is back in the pint machine this month and this time we'll all find out who should reign supreme over beer lovers around the world. Led by Littlebeer and Thirsty Cannister, the audience will not only traverse the history of the golden nectar of the gods, but also engage in competitions of wit, might, and valor to determine who should sit on the golden throne. Name that Beer, the Wall of Beers, and Dragon Beer Pong are but a few of the challenges that await. So come down to UNDER St Marks and pregame your later viewing of the season premiere of Game of Thrones!
A Brief History of Beer is a series playing at UNDER St Marks on every last Sunday of the month. Part sketch, part lecture, part drink-a-long game, the audience travels back in time with Will Glenn and Trish Parry, saving the world from a mysterious nefarious villain. The show originated in the UK and toured around the world on its mission to spread the craft beer word. Now the show has a home in the East Village, and every show addresses a different side to the beer continuum.
Created, written and performed by William Glenn and Trish Parry, and directed by Jeffrey Mayhew (Theatre of the Damned, London). Wish Experience has been touring A Brief History of Beer to audiences in pubs and theatres around the world since 2013, and most recently played to sold-out audiences at Cincy Fringe 2014 and in Tampa, Florida. Will and Trish have been inducted into the British Guild of Beer Writers in acknowledgement of the show, and Trish is also a member of the Pink Boots Society. Most recently the show performed to sold-out audiences at the Adelaide Fringe in Australia.
A Brief History of Beer is performed at UNDER St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place between 1st Avenue and Avenue A) every last Sunday of the month at 6:30pm. Tickets ($18) are available online at www.horsetrade.info or by calling 1-888-596-1027. FREE BEER included with price of admission.
