The 92YTribeca will present Annabelle Gurwitch and Jeff Kahn's You Say Tomato, I Say Shut Up in a one-night only engagement on November 5. Tomato is the pair's look at love and relationships, inspired by their own thirteen-year marriage.The play is adapted from their upcoming memoir of the same title, which will be released in February 2010.
After thirteen years of marriage, Annabelle Gurwitch and Jeff Kahn have found out that "We're just not that into us." Nonetheless, You Say Tomato, I Say Shut Up is described as a humorous, surprising and honest take on love and relationships. The event is a live love story performance.
Gurwitch is and actress, author and activist who takes social issues and gives them her own brand of humor and perspective. She is best known for her years co-hosting Dinner and a Movie on TBS and her book and documentary film, Fired!, inspire by her experiences working on Woody Allen's Writer's Block Off-Broadway.
Kahn is an actor and writer who won an Emmy award for his writing on the Ben Stiller Show. His acting credits include: The 40 Year Old Virgin, Tropic Thunder, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Entourage.
