9/11 Cultural Festival in association with The Playroom Theater presents new Off Broadway plays of The 9/11 Plays. The 9/11 Cultural Festival Script in Hand Reading Series is five plays that will be performed in one day by one company as part of the 9/11 Cultural Festival.
From the streets to Off Broadway, Playwrights Exavier Wardlaw, Carla Cubit and Zoe Wilson open their 9/11 plays St. Mark's Place, Naked Uncle Sam, 9/11 & The Youtube Tapes, Horrors of Cocaine and To Kill Eric Garner Off Broadway on Saturday, August 16th at The Playroom Theater. As former squatters from 13th Street in the East Village, NYC, Exavier Wardlaw and Carla Cubit have come together to present the 9/11 plays as part of the 9/11 Cultural Festival Script in Hand Reading Series premier at The Playroom Theater. The 9/11 Cultural Festival is a festival for peace in which an honest dialogue about 9/11 is encouraged through the arts, theatre, dance, music, poetry and the visual arts and crafts. Artists will be performing independent, original plays, music, dances, and poetry reading to commemorate the 9/11 tragedy.
The 9/11 Cultural Festival Script in Hand Reading Series will take place at The Playroom Theater today, August 16th, 10am - 2pm and a performance September 12th, 2pm-6pm at The Playroom Theater as part of the 9/11 Cultural Festival. Tickets are $5 at the door August 16th and are now on sale for performances September 12th.Videos
