5th Season Of BROADWAY AT THE BEACH Kicks Off 6/21

FIRE ISLAND - THE ICE PALACE, located within the Grove Hotel in Cherry Grove, is pleased to announce the fifth season of BRANDON & RAY'S BROADWAY AT THE BEACH, an open-mic musical theatre party on Fire Island featuring Broadway's best! On Monday, June 21st, from 9pm till 11pm, join host Brandon Cutrell (Bistro, three-time MAC, and Nightlife Award winner) with Ray Fellman (Bistro Award winner) at the piano for opening night of this weekly party on Fire Island. There is no cover charge and no minimum. Rain or shine, all audience members are welcome to sing as the mic is always open, or sit back, breathe the ocean air and enjoy a cocktail with friends.

Monday, June 21st, we're pleased to welcome three time Tony Award nominee and The Addams Family's Kevin Chamberlin, Rent's Telly Leung, Rent's Toby Blackwell, Singer Kenny Holcomb, In The Heights' Marcus Paul James and Singer-Songwriter Daniel Lincoln. All will be on hand along to greet fans and perform a few numbers as only they can.

The Ice Palace on Fire Island is located within the Grove Hotel, just steps away from the Cherry Grove ferry pier. There is a full bar and reservations are not necessary for this event. For more information, visit www.GroveHotel.com or call 631.597.6600.

The remainder of the season is as follows. The June 28th performance will feature The Scottsboro Boys' E. Clayton Cornelius, Lucille Lortel Award winner and Chicago's Colman Domingo, Hairspray's Michelle Dowdy, Hairspray's Marissa Perry, and Finian's Rainbow's Devin Richards. The July 5th performance will feature The Broadway Boys' Danny Calvert, comedian POPPI KRAMER, South Pacific's Liz McCartney, Gerald McCullouch of tv's "CSI," Mamma Mia's HALLE MORSE, and singer Ryan Raftery. The July 12th performance will feature The Lion King's Sean Bradford, The Color Purple's Trent Armand Kendall, Singer QUINTO OTT, Singer Kate Pazakis, and The Battery's Down's Jake Wilson. The July 19th performance will feature singer ADAM CHANDLER, Miss Stonewall CHOCOLATINA, singer MELISSA E. DRISCOL, Mamma Mia's Frankie James Grande, and singer Kenny Holcomb. The July 26th performance will feature Guys and Dolls' Tituss Burgess, Singer Lawrence Evans, singer KITTY HICCUPS, Cabaret's VINCE ODDO, singer Molly Pope, and Finian's Rainbow's Joe Aaron Reid. The August 2nd performance will feature Avenue Q's Carey Anderson, Hairspray's Kasey Marino, Emmy Award winning comedian Kevin Meaney, Hairspray's SUSIE MOSHER, Nicholas Rodriguez of tv's "One Life to Live," The After Party's BECCA SOUTHWORTH, Naked Boys Singing's Trevor Southworth, and Million Dollar Quartet's Elizabeth Stanley. The August 9th performance will feature Wicked's Ben Cameron, Singer Nick Dothee, Singer Kenny GREEN, Anyone Can Whistle's Grasan Kingsberry, and Curtain Call's Emily McNamara. The August 16th performance will feature South Pacific's Taylor Frey, Singer David Gurland, and Urinetown's Rob Maitner. The August 23rd performance will feature singer TODD ADAMSON, A Chorus Line's Jessica Lee Goldyn, Spelling Bee's Kevin Smith Kirkwood, Yank's David Perlman, and Gypsy's Tony Yazbeck. The performers for the August 30th season finale have not been announced.

Brandon Cutrell is a Nightlife Award, Bistro Award and three-time MAC Award winner. New York credits: Broadway By The Year at Town Hall, The 2nd Annual Broadway Unplugged at Town Hall, Pippin (with Ben Vereen and Rosie O'Donnell), La Gioconda at TheatreSource, David Friedman's King Island Christmas, and Liz Swados' Waiting For Lefty. National: Theatre of the Stars, Goodspeed Musicals, the Human Race Theatre and the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra. For nearly two years, Brandon was the original host of the MAC Award nominated show, Mostly Sondheim. In December of 2005, Brandon made his debut in the world-famous Oak Room at The Algonquin Hotel. In June of 2006, Brandon made his solo debut at Feinstein's, New York's legendary nightclub on Park Avenue. Currently, Brandon can be seen every Friday night at The Laurie Beechman Theatre on 42nd Street as the host of The After Party, a weekly open-mic, musical theatre soiree. Bistro Award winner Ray Fellman recently made his Off-Broadway debut when he was handpicked by Stephen Schwartz to musical direct his off-Broadway musical, Captain Louie. Other Musical Director credits include The Tutor by Wood/Gerle (59 E. 59th), Reluctant Pilgrim (The Barrow Group), Blood Drive: A Musical Triptych by Sheinkin/Derfner (workshop at the O'Neill Theater Center) and Amahl and the Night Visitors (national tour directed by David Aiken). Ray has been seen behind the piano in The Storefront Theatre's New Mondays (with Bill Russell and Emily Skinner), No Reservations (starring Brandon Cutrell with special guests Karen Mason and Shoshana Bean), Broadway Downtown (with Kristy Cates) and We Miss Nancy: The Storefront Sings Lamott (with Liz McCartney). He has also served as accompanist for Utah Festival Opera Company, The Opera Company of Brooklyn , Mid America Productions at Carnegie Hall (with John Rutter) and A Yuletide Celebration with the Indianapolis Symphony starring Judy Kaye. As a singer, Ray has sung with some of the finest opera companies in the country, including Florida Grand, Glimmerglass and New Orleans operas. Ray holds degrees in piano and voice from the Indiana University School of Music.
