<50%, a new Unromantic Comedy by Gianmarco Soresi, will get its world premiere this August at the Kraine Theater (85 East 4th St.) as a part of the New York International Fringe Festival from 8/8-8/23. When Gianmarco and Laura ended their five-year relationship, Gianmarco wrote a play about it. This is that play, they are starring in it together, and all of it is exactly as it happened - at least according to Gianmarco.

The production will feature direction from Max Freedman (2012 Helen Hayes Award Nominee, Beertown), son of Tony Award Winner Robert L. Freedman (A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder).

Annie Hall meets Inception in the new unromantic comedy <50%, which reunites Gianmarco and his ex-girlfriend-of-five-years to reenact the creation of an autobiographical show that may never have happened. With shifting fourth-walls, stand-up comedy confessionals, and an extraordinarily unreliable narrator, the audience is left to uncover the truth for themselves.

The cast includes Gianmarco Soresi (CBS' Blue Bloods, An Actor Unprepared, Clown Bar at The Box) and Laura Catalano (Hello, Dolly! at the Gates Theatre). Kristin Parker (The Velveteen Rabbit at DR2, Pinkalicious at Bleecker St. Theatre) understudies Ms. Catalano.

The production team includes producers Robb Nanus and Allison Bressi, Jenney Shamash (Scenic/Props Designer and associate producer), Ben Danielowski (Lighting Designer) Nicholas Foster (Sound Designer) and assistant producer Nat French.

<50% will run at the Kraine Theater (Venue #10 - 85 East 4th St.) as a part of the New York International Fringe Festival with performances on Friday 8/8 @ 7:45pm, Monday 8/11 @ 2:30pm, Friday 8/15 @ 5:30pm, Thursday 8/21 @ 5:00pm and Saturday 8/23 @ 1:00pm. Tickets, priced at $18, can be purchased online at www.FringeNYC.org beginning July 18. For more information, visit www.lessthanfiftypercent.com.
