This program is part of the series, Mystic Chords of Memory: Abraham Lincoln and the Performing Arts.

Abraham Lincoln was overcome by the lines above, which
called to mind his son Willie, who died age eleven. This program will also feature readings from Hamlet, Henry IV Part 1, King Lear, The Merchant of Venice, Othello, Richard III, and other plays.

Kathleen Chalfant.'s many theater credits include roles
in Angels in America, Racing Demon, and Wit (Drama Desk Award -- Best Actress). She is currently appearing in Washington, D.C. in Edward Albee's A Delicate Balance.
Philip Bosco's long career in the theater includes
Copenhagen, Heartbreak House, and Lend Me a Tenor (Tony Award -- Best Actor).
Richard Easton has appeared with the Royal Shakespeare
Company. He is currently performing in two plays at BAM -- The Cherry Orchard and The Winter's Tale. He starred inThe Invention of Love (Tony Award-Best Actor). Lincoln scholar Harold Holzer is a member of the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission.
