Flight of the Lawnchair Man
By Lynne Taylor-Corbett (Director and Choreographer)

For me, Flight of the Lawnchair man is a fable about individual freedom, about fulfilling a dream in a non-traditional way. It is thrilling to be able to work on it again.  All theatre pieces and especially musicals need several phases of development to find their final form, and at each juncture there is new insight.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival has created an opportunity for the authors and myself to continue to deepen the story of Jerry Gorman and his girlfriend, Gracie, to put their story into a larger context.  We are proud to be sharing 37 Arts with Go-Go Beach and Emerald Man.  All three teams are working together to make all three shows go smoothly.  It is a unique and very exciting experience.
