This event has been organized, in conjunction with the New York Blood Center, by representatives of Manhattan Theater Club (team leader Lindsey Brooks), Playwrights Horizons (team leader Caroline Aquino), Primary Stages (team leaders Andy Varhol and Michelle Bossy), Roundabout Theatre Company (team leader Jessica Bowser), and Signature Theatre Company (team leader Adam Bernstein). Last year, more than 59 members of the theater community participated in the drive, donating 47 pints of life-saving blood.

Close to 2,000 men, women, and children, including cancer, transplant and surgery patients, trauma victims, newborn babies, and many more in our community need blood every day. By donating blood on June 6th, you can help to save the life of one of your neighbors. Your precious life-giving blood will be used to treat trauma patients and help chronically ill patients to maintain their health.
